Fortekor PLUS contains pimobendan, which helps the heart pump more efficiently and also widens blood vessels, and benazepril hydrochloride, an ACE inhibitor that helps reduce strain on the heart and kidneys. This combination is used to manage congestive heart failure in dogs.
Suitability +
Specifically formulated for dogs experiencing congestive heart failure. Not recommended for use in animals with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, aortic stenosis, pulmonary stenosis, hypotension, hypovolaemia, hyponatraemia, or acute renal failure. Also, it should not be used in animals with known hypersensitivity to pimobendan or benazepril hydrochloride. Consult with your vet before use, especially in pregnant or lactating animals or dogs below 2.5 kg bodyweight. Monitor your dog closely for any adverse reactions and consult your vet immediately if you notice anything unusual.
Care and Instructions +
Administer orally twice a day, approximately 12 hours apart (morning and evening), about one hour before feeding. The dosage is 0.125 mg/kg bodyweight of pimobendan and 0.25 mg/kg bodyweight of benazepril hydrochloride. Always consult with your veterinarian for the correct dosage and ensure regular check-ups while your pet is on this medication. Store below 25°C (air conditioning) and protect from moisture. Any unused half tablet should be returned to the open blister space and inserted back into the cardboard box and used within 24 hours.
