Propalin Syrup contains Phenylpropanolamine hydrochloride, a sympathomimetic agent. It works by stimulating α-adrenergic receptors in the smooth muscle of the internal urethral sphincter, helping to control urinary incontinence in bitches.
Suitability +
This medication is specifically for bitches experiencing urinary incontinence due to urethral sphincter incompetence. Do not use in pregnant bitches or in conjunction with other hypertensive drugs. Side effects may include symptoms of excessive sympathetic nervous system stimulation, such as headaches, hypertension, dizziness, aggressiveness, and restlessness. Consult with your veterinarian if you observe these or any other unusual symptoms.
Care and Instructions +
Administer Propalin Syrup to your dog with food, following your veterinarian's prescribed dosage (typically 3 mg/kg daily, divided into two or three doses). Use the calibrated dosing syringe provided for accurate measurement. Store below 25°C (air conditioning) and protect from light. After opening, use within 3 months and discard any unused product. Always ensure the child-resistant closure is securely replaced after each use. Consult with your Vet for ongoing monitoring.
